A message from David Hoeksema, the author and father...
Many, many years ago, I spent a few formative years of my life growing up in Kenya East Africa; the son of a pastor and missionary. One of my favorite memories was walking up a long tall hill at dawn every Easter morning to celebrate a sunrise service. To this day, Easter is still my favorite holiday, even better than Christmas.
If you've found this website you already know about the loss of our daughter Kjrsten. Losing a child has taught me first-hand the hope and joy that only Jesus Christ can give through His resurrection that we continue to celebrate every Easter. We know beyond a shadow of a doubt that she is with our risen Lord and Savior.
Ardeth and I hope that what you’ve read, what you find here, and additional works which will be added will encourage and uplift you as well.
And the name of the hill so many years ago in Kaimosi, Kenya?
Why "Mission Hill" of course.
